Joe Roy

Joe is a director at CMC responsible for all energy-efficiency projects in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, with two office locations and close to 100 employees. His duties include overseeing projects, leading personnel and managing client relationships. He has held numerous supervisory and management positions within the company, including his most recent position as Senior Program Manager in Connecticut.

Previously, Joe was a BPI-certified team leader for Competitive Resources, Inc., which CMC later acquired. He also served as a research assistant at Western Connecticut State University, where he performed research experiments for NASA’s Air-Sea Interaction Facility at Wallops Island, VA.

Joe has a bachelor’s degree from Western Connecticut State University and an Accelerated Management Program Certificate from Yale School of Management. He holds Building Analyst, Building Envelope and Multifamily Building Analyst certifications from the Building Performance Institute, and served as a board member of the Home Performance Alliance of Connecticut between 2014 and 2017. In 2018, Joe identified the need to diversify services in Connecticut and was responsible for an acquisition that resulted in CMC being able to provide Aeroseal services to its customers.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his family as well as spending time outdoors and mountain climbing. He is a degreed meteorologist and has a passion for winter forecasting, which he does as a hobbyist for followers on social media.
