In response to increased business that will lead to the hiring of at least 40 new employees, CMC Energy Services has moved to a new office in Hamilton, N.J. The 15,000-square-foot office, which supports energy efficiency programs for New Jersey Comfort Partners, PSEG, Atlantic City Electric and South Jersey Industries, nearly quadruples the size of its former office in Cranbury, N.J.

“As our program offerings have increased in New Jersey, so has our office space needs,” said Operations Director Michael Sanjek, who oversees all of CMC’s New Jersey operations.

Another reason for the move was a request by PSEG that offices supporting its programs be located in urban enterprise zones, such as Trenton, and a requirement that all new hires be New Jersey residents. Last year, CMC won a substantial three-year contract (with a possible three-year extension) to support PSEG’s single and multifamily home energy check-up program.

“We designed the new location to house our New Jersey Operations and Call Center, and to provide sufficient warehouse space for the programs we support,” Sanjek said. “The Hamilton location is included in the Trenton urban enterprise zone, which is more convenient to public transportation, such as busses and trains. This new location enables us to hire more people in the community who may not have access to a car.”

Located at 8 Commerce Way in Hamilton, N.J., the new office features a warehouse that is as large as the entire former Cranbury office footprint, a spacious classroom-style training room, enhanced office space, additional conference rooms, dedicated mother wellness space, and  dedicated touchdown work-stations for field technicians and upgraded dining/kitchen area.

“Our business in New Jersey has grown substantially in the last few years and the new office will enable us to better serve our utility partners,” Sanjek added. “As an added bonus, our employees are really excited about the new location and the new amenities. The New Jersey office has always had a really high level of camaraderie and it was really special to see their excitement for seeing each other again at the new office.”
