If you weren’t aware, CMC has hired Erin Gregory our new senior director for Program Delivery in Pennsylvania and Illinois, boosting our operational and programmatic efficiency. We are very excited for Erin to get started.
In an effort to welcome Erin and become more familiar with her background, we’ve provided a spotlight all about Erin.
Can you tell us a little bit about your professional background?
I sort of fell into the energy industry more than 20 years ago. Prior to his passing, my cousin had worked for Peoples Energy in Chicago and he had always talked about it fondly. One day I came across a job for an Associate Business Analyst at Peoples Energy and it has been an amazing journey. The thing I enjoy most about energy, utilities and operations, in particular, is that it is always evolving and presenting itself with new opportunities for change and improvements.
I have had the opportunity to work in both the regulated and non-regulated energy spaces, as well as work in positions across an organization. Most of my career has been centralized around operations, analysis and process improvement, but I have also held positions in IT and Business Planning.
I am very excited to start the next chapter in my journey with CMC Energy Services – bringing products and services to consumers and supporting our utility partners as the energy industry continues its evolution toward renewable energy sources and environmental sustainability.
How did you learn about CMC Energy Services?
I learned about CMC Energy Services as I was being recruited for the position of senior director for Program Delivery.
What interests you the most about CMC and its vision and values?
When I think about what really interested me in CMC, there are a couple of things that really stood out to me. The first was just the work that they do, helping consumers make their residences more energy efficient and cost effective. Being someone who worked for a utility, I saw first-hand how high energy bills could get and also the impact that had on some of the customers. I have not forgotten. I also appreciated hearing and seeing that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is also of high importance here at CMC. I believe that is key in creating a great company culture and producing the best possible outcomes.
What do you do with your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my friends and entertaining. I also like to spend time with my dog Lollie – she is such a joy.
Do you have any hidden talents you’d like to share?
I have styled four of my friends for their weddings. I really enjoy finding the perfect look for them on that day. So far I am 4 for 4.
As a sports crazy company, what teams do you support?
Not a huge sports fan, but I do support the Chicago teams – Bears and White Sox. And because my friends are Bears fans – I did travel to London in 2019 for the Bears game and met Walter Payton’s son at the local pub at a pre-party.
