Lindsay Nydegger, Program Support Supervisor

Please provide some quick background about yourself.
I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA, and moved to San Diego a few years after high school, living there until moving to Philly in 2019. I’ve worked with utilities for 15 years including Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas and Electric, gaining knowledge/experience in utility theft investigations in the Credit and Collections department. I am passionate about safety and have been a part of numerous safety committees throughout my career.

For my hobbies, I am a huge baseball fan, enjoy playing guitar, going to the beach, and most recently, learning to bake sourdough bread on the weekends. I live with my wife, our dog Shelby, and two cats, Matilda and Milo.

Prior to joining CMC, what did you know about energy efficiency or the industry? Having worked with utilities for many years, I already had knowledge of energy efficiency programs.

What made you join CMC? I worked for another energy efficiency company shortly after moving to Philadelphia so joining CMC made sense and was a smooth transition for me.

What do you like about the work that you do at CMC? I enjoy the variety of work I do and the people that I work with. Each person on my team works well together and strives to deliver quality work. My team makes me very proud on a daily basis. Also, knowing that the work we do helps the planet and reduces the burden for those who are less fortunate is very rewarding.

What do you do for fun? Do you have any hidden talents or interests? I love seeing live music, hiking with my wife and dog, going to Phillies games, and playing guitar. I’ve played guitar for 20 years and have been in multiple bands back in California. I was part of a pop/country band that was selected as the opening act for Pat Benatar and Loverboy, which was an incredible experience.

What is something you hope to do in 2023? I’m looking forward to seeing P!nk and Brandi Carlile in concert at Citizen’s Bank Park this summer. I am also very excited for my family to visit Philly this fall.
