This month we spotlight Jessee Hatcher, IT training and project manager. Let’s take a few minutes to learn about Jessee, her family and her favorite activities. Take it away, Jessee.

Jessee Hatcher

Provide some quick background about yourself. Where were you born or raised? Any education/degrees/certs?
I was born and raised in Massachusetts… go Sox! For most of my adult life I have lived in the beautiful foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. I have a 17-year-old daughter, Georgia, and an 18-year-old son, William, with my husband of 23 years, Justin.

Prior to joining CMC, what did you know about energy efficiency or the industry? What made you join CMC?
I joined CMC in December 2020. I have worked in the energy efficiency world for 10 years on programs spanning the United States.

What motivates you about the work that you do?
I stay motivated because of the good we can do for the health of our customers, the affordability of energy, and the overall benefit to the Earth itself. Most people hear about energy efficiency in the news or politics and it’s confusing not knowing where to begin. Our industry is proof that the smallest changes can yield massive results, which is so INSPIRING!

What was a recent personal or team “win” (project or initiative) that went well and/or you are proud of?
As a new part of the IT team working on Salesforce, I try to put my operations experience to good use helping CMC transform how efficiently our programs operate. Having rolled out Salesforce to PSEG and ACE, PPL and now to NEQA, we see what a beneficial impact it has on employees and their day-to-day jobs.

What do you do for fun? Do you have any hidden talents, hobbies or interests?
I love to travel, and my family are big campers. We take full advantage of living so close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With two teenagers and a Great Dane, we are outdoors as much as we can be, but when it rains, you’ll find us in a raucous, trash-talking game of rummy. I am a huge fan of music; especially attending live shows. On nights when I stay in, I am a huge fan of SNL (any comedy really).

Do you have any plans for the next few months, summer vacations, etc.?
Fall in East Tennessee is so beautiful. We always stay close to home but when winter turns everything grey, my favorite escape is the beach. Fingers crossed for a trip or two.
