Prior to joining CMC, what did you know of energy efficiency or the industry?

Geoffrey: I had little to no knowledge of the energy efficiency industry. My only experience of utilities were of the local companies and some of the larger companies in the United States whose stocks I tracked while in the Retirement Pension industry.

What made you join CMC?

G: I knew I wanted to be apart of CMC after my first contact. I interviewed with Mike Waller where he shared the importance of our role in society and how important we are. He gave me a clear vision of our focus and expectations and explained that there is opportunity for growth and development. That was important to me because I wanted to make a difference and have purpose in what I do day to day.

What do you like about the work that you do at CMC?

G: What I love about working at CMC is the opportunity to make a difference on four different levels. I refer to it as our “Four Levels of Success.” The first one is to provide a service in the community of helping homes and families become energy efficient thus saving money for the family. The second level is providing a much needed service for our clients (PECO, PGW, PWD, and PPL) to name a few. The third level is the opportunity for us to raise awareness of the benefits of energy efficiency and the chance for us to educate our customers and provide and community service and raise revenue for us to enjoy a purposeful life. The last and most important level is the chance to better the environment by decreasing our carbon foot print with energy efficiency.

What do you do for fun?

G: I enjoy entertaining at my home and barbecuing, especially during sporting events. I love to travel and cook. I love to get up early and ride my motorcycle. I also enjoy being around my family, friends, my children and grandchildren.

Do you have any hidden talents or interests?

G: I’m a historian and I can speak Patios (A Jamaican dialect). My wife is Jamaican so that accelerated my learning curve.

How are you keeping busy during our “stay at home” period?

G: I’ve been very busy during this stay at home period. Mike, Bryant and Andre keep me busy assisting the ComEd program until they are fully staffed.
