This month we spotlight Elyssa Musngi, Customer Care Representative from our PSEG Call Center. Elyssa, the floor is yours!
Can you provide me with some quick background about yourself?
I grew up in Newark, N.J., and attended Newark Arts High School, the very first public high school dedicated to arts in the entire nation. Indoor gardening is my absolute favorite hobby.
Prior to joining CMC, what did you know of energy efficiency or the industry? What made you join CMC?
Before joining CMC, I had extensive experience in the Customer Service industry, working closely with diverse clients to deliver personalized product solutions through strategic soft skills. My passion for environmental sciences led me to CMC.
What motivates you about the work that you do?
Engaging with people and having meaningful conversations truly inspire me in my work. The most fulfilling aspect of being in customer service is the opportunity to assist customers in making informed choices.
What is your favorite type of work/project/responsibility that you do at CMC?
As a people person, nothing brings me greater joy and satisfaction than ensuring customer satisfaction and providing exceptional experiences.
What do you do for fun? Do you have any hidden talents or interests?
In my free time, I love immersing myself in music festivals, concerts and the vibrant nightlife scene. I also have an adventurous side, indulging in ATV rides, spelunking and cave diving. Exploring the world through road trips and traveling brings me immense joy, and I’ve honed my singing talents through vocal music studies and performances with esteemed figures like Dr. Jerry Forderhase, professor Josephine Ashiara and conductor David Wroe.
Do you have any fun plans for the next few months, vacations, (2023 summer) etc?
While my upcoming months may not be filled with many exciting plans, I’m thrilled to share that in 10 months, I’ll be marrying CMC’s Field Technician II, Cristian Bonilla-Perez! We’ve decided to elope at the breathtaking South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
