Just like almost everyone else in the world, CMC President & CEO Tina Bennett is anxious to get back into the swing of things. That’s what prompted her to hold a series of “Coffee With Tina” events at offices throughout the company.
The first two will be in Illinois on April 19 in Springfield and April 20 in Chicago. Bennett also has plans to visit the offices in Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania in the next two months.
“It’s been more than two years since I’ve been able to meet with our incredible team members in person,” Bennett said. “Although we’ve been able to work effectively in a remote setting, we need to meet in person to build the bonds that bind us together.”
Bennett said the meetings will feature a brief recap of some CMC headlines but will focus more on just being with people and hearing their questions and comments.
“I don’t have an elaborate presentation planned for any of the meetings,” Bennett said. “This is really about just giving people a chance to share their thoughts on what CMC is doing well and what opportunities there are to improve the company.
“I’ll also use the time to highlight some of the personal milestones that people have passed during the last two year,” she added. “I can’t wait to get out there with our team and share a laugh or two.”
In addition to the in-person meetings, Bennett will host an online session for employees who can’t attend a discussion personally either due to work commitments or timing.
