While COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on many industries, CMC is seeing a reverse effect. Although CMC was impacted by COVID-19 due to states expanding their stay-at-home orders and forced shut-downs for all on-premises work by utilities in 2020, we remained resilient and continued to work hard and grow our business.

“So far this year, we’ve been awarded new work in New Jersey and earned contract expansions in other areas,” said Tina Baldt, CMC’s HR Director. “Due to this increased demand, we are looking to hire more than 100 candidates for both office and field work at all levels.”

Having 100 positions to fill is a huge jump in recruitment needs for CMC’s HR department, which typically has 10-20 open positions at a time. To help meet this hiring expansion, CMC is asking for employees’ help through its Employee Referral Program.

“Our employees are our best asset and we know they have a deep understanding of CMC’s culture, vision and environment, which is why we’re offering $1,000 for them to refer new employees through the end of April,” Baldt said. “The Employee Referral incentive has been temporarily expanded to accommodate the growing hiring needs – increasing the amount from $500 to $1,000.”

“If you know someone who would be a great addition to CMC, you just need to complete the Employee Referral Form, attach the employee’s resume and submit both to Human Resources,” Baldt said. “If your referral is hired and remains employed for a minimum of 90 days, you will earn the $1,000 reward.”

“It’s an exciting time for CMC,” Baldt said. “I think our growth shows how stable we are – even in times of uncertainty. It’s a genuine testament to the great work we do and the trust that we’ve built with our utility partners.”
