In July, CMC Marketing Manager Regis D’Angelo presented a Best Green Home Award to Keystone Custom Homes at the York Builders Association’s PEAK Achievement Awards. He presented the award on behalf of FirstEnergy’s Pennsylvania Energy Efficient New Homes program.

Keystone’s winning home achieved a low Home Energy Rating System score of 51 and will use 49 percent less energy than a standard home, saving 4,850 kwh annually. To be eligible for the PEAK Green Award, qualifying entries had to demonstrate extraordinary energy efficiency and sustainability features and achieve at least 15 percent electricity savings over building code.

The PEAK Awards showcase the best home and business projects in York County, Pa. One of the PEAK awards, the Best Green Home award in the category of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, has been sponsored by FirstEnergy’s Pennsylvania Energy Efficient New Homes program since 2018.
