Kenneth R. Wilkins

Kenneth R. Wilkins is Vice President of Business Development and Family/Shareholder of Delaware Valley Floral Group (DVFG), a wholesale floral distributer founded in 1959 and based in Sewell, NJ. Primarily serving the Northeast megalopolis, DVFG is the largest Wholesale Floral Distributer in North America with three divisions—DVFlora (national importer and distributor for retail floral professionals), Fresh Blooms (sales and marketing for national and regional mass market chains), FTL (Flower Transfer Logistics Trucking).

Over the past 30 years Ken has held various positions within DVFG and led the company’s logistics, distribution, sales, purchasing, and marketing efforts. For the past seven years, he has focused his leadership on acquisitions and overseen nine successful acquisitions. Ken steered a major two-year restructuring effort that transformed the company’s service platform, merged three sales forces into one, reassigned 2,000 customers, and organized DVFG around new regions. The restructuring enabled DVFG to scale and grow annual revenues from $45M to $150M. Ken started two new companies for DVFG—a brokerage firm and a handling services company both located in Miami, FL. He is responsible for the company’s Leadership Development Program that provides business, management, and leadership training to 73 staff members ranging from front-line supervisors to the C-Suite. Serving on DVFG’s Strategic Planning Team, Ken provides short and long-term guidance to the company.

Ken has served on numerous industry trade organization committees, and he served as a Director on the Board of the Wholesale Florist and Florist Suppliers of America for three years. Ken was elected to and currently serves on the Society of American Florists Wholesaler and Joint Consumer Council. Previously an owner/partner in a South American flower farm, Ken served on the Board of FLOWERVILLAGE. CIA. LTDA in Quito, Ecuador. For the past 10 years Ken has been a member of the The Presidents Board, a CEO group. He has presented at national and international industry trade events as well as to local schools.

Ken provides support within the community to the ECS St. Barnabas a women’s shelter in Philadelphia, PA. Ken served in the US Navy for four years as a Signalman-Petty Officer Second Class stationed in San Diego and deployed on the USS Okinawa.
