There’s still time to blaze a new trail, earn some knowledge and win some prizes! Just login to Trailhead and tap into CMC’s interactive introduction to Salesforce, which has loads of training materials just waiting for you. The friendly competition comes to a close on July 28.

Not aware of Salesforce and the key role it will play in CMC’s future? Here’s a quick recap.

  • CMC engaged Salesforce about two years ago to replace ERMS and propel us into the future for our program offerings. For example, Salesforce provides streamlined scheduling optimization, enhanced dispatcher functionality, real-time savings calculations and audit reports, a dedicated subcontractor portal and a field service app.
  • Most recently, the PSE&G/ACE team went live on June 5, and CMC’s IT has several other programs scheduled for the transition in the coming year.
  • CMC’s goal is to transfer all programs into Salesforce within the next two years.

“When we started exploring Salesforce we wanted a program that gave us the agility we need to serve our customers, the stability of a well-recognized software platform and the security necessary to effectively protect our customers’ information,” said CMC President & CEO Lisa Stotts. “As we’ve seen from several recent RFPs, having a customer-facing portal is the cost of admission for many utilities now. What’s particularly attractive about Salesforce is the ability to enhance it as our programs and needs change.”

“Salesforce is really focused on improving the user experience by making it easier to use for all CMC employees,” added Paul Mackay, CIO. “Adopting Salesforce will produce operational efficiencies that enable us to launch a revised customer self-service portal in the coming weeks, further enhancing our customer experience and strengthening our relationships with clients.”

Using Salesforce’s Trailhead system, you can quickly improve your knowledge of the software and its capabilities. If you need more incentive, the competition allows you to explore a series of learning modules, complete some simple tasks and gather badges as you level up your skills.

Top performers in the CMC Trailhead Challenge will be eligible for a variety of prizes, including a $25 Starbucks gift card, Salesforce or CMC mugs, CMC notepads and Trailhead or CMC Apparel.

So, let’s go hiking!
