Regis D’Angelo, Marketing Manager

Provide some quick background about yourself. Where were you born or raised? Any education/degrees/certs? Favorite hobby or activity, if you have one.

The D’Angelo family.

I was born and raised in the Land of Pleasant Living, also known as the great state of Maryland. Growing up right outside of Baltimore, I became a huge Baltimore Orioles fan and can’t remember a day in my life that I didn’t bleed orange! I attended Goucher College, a small school in Towson, MD, where I played Division 3 lacrosse, served as the sports editor for the school newspaper, started the student-run radio station and was the host of the first ever show on the station. It was at the station that I met my future wife.

Currently, we live in Forks Township, PA, in the Lehigh Valley with our three kids – our 10-year-old daughter, Quinn, and our two sons Camden, 7 (named after Camden Yards as he was born on the night the Orioles won the AL East pennant) and Nolan, 3. Our free time is now dedicated to our kids, each having their own activities and sports. We also enjoy rooting on our favorite teams – The Orioles, all University of Maryland (Terrapins) teams and the Tennessee Titans. My wife and I are also avid runners, competing in multiple 5k’s, half-marathons and full marathons.

Prior to joining CMC, what did you know about energy efficiency or the industry?
Before joining CMC, I worked on a different side of the energy spectrum, spending almost ten years at an air pollution control equipment supplier, supplying large industrial air pollution control equipment to power plants and other industrial combustion facilities. I started in a marketing role before shifting to a sales role.

What made you join CMC?
After doing sales for a few years, I missed the marketing world and was ready to transition back into a marketing role. CMC offered me that opportunity, and after meeting with Yvette Brown and Kate Harron I knew immediately CMC was a place I wanted to join to grow my career.

What do you like about the work that you do at CMC?
I genuinely love the people I work with. Everyone has such a positive attitude and has always been quick to offer help and provide educational resources to make sure I have what I need to succeed. This makes it easy to be passionate about my work and allows me the freedom to be creative and forward-thinking.

What do you do for fun? Do you have any hidden talents or interests?
My wife and I played sports our entire lives so, after college, we needed that daily dose of competition. We started running, competing in various 5ks, 10ks, half-marathons and full marathons. Our favorite event to date was the Dublin Half-Marathon. That was an awesome experience, and we made a family trip out of it. We also enjoy coaching. My wife coached the varsity lacrosse team and I was her assistant for the past 15 years. Now we’re taking time to coach our own kids and spend more family time together.

Do you have any plans for the next few months, vacations, etc?
We’re looking forward to heading to the beach next month for a vacation at Assateague Island and Ocean City, MD. Then summer is over and it’s time to get the kids ready to go back to school.
