This month we spotlight Michelle Singleton, a Customer Care supervisor who works in the CMC Chicago office. Take it away Michelle!
Please provide some background about yourself.
I am born and raised in Chicago always living near the United Center, home to the Chicago Bulls. I am a homebody who enjoys watching TV and movies. Occasionally I enjoy trips to the casino to play my favorite game, Blackjack.
Prior to joining CMC, what did you know about energy efficiency or the industry?
Prior to joining CMC, I had zero knowledge of the energy efficiency industry. I will say that since joining CMC, I have learned so much about the industry and all the strong women who have made an impact in this industry.
I joined CMC for a fresh start. After more than 15 years of dental experience, I felt it was time for a change. Coming to CMC was a great stepping stone to becoming an expert in the field.
What made you join CMC?
My motivation is to help others. My goal each day is to make sure someone has a positive and educational encounter with me.
What do you like about the work that you do at CMC?
I like that I can assist internal customers as well as external customers. Assisting people fills me with happiness. I also find happiness in making sure the needs of others are consistently met.
What do you do for fun? Do you have any hidden talents or interests?
I enjoy shopping and spending time with my son and my fur babies. I also enjoy brunch with my friends (a few times a month) to catch up on girl time.
What is something you hope to do in 2023? (Can be a concert, destination/vacation, accolade, etc.).
I plan on doing a few road trips with family down to New Orleans and Biloxi, Mississippi. Over the third weekend in April of this year, my cousins and I had our first “Girl Cousins Trip” to Atlanta. It was epic. This experience showed us all that more of these types of trips should be in our future!
