Kevin Ferrone, program support supervisor, CT Multifamily

Please provide some background about yourself.

I was born and raised in Wallingford, CT, where I still live today. I attended Eastern Connecticut State University where I studied Business Administration with a concentration in marketing, graduating in 2012.

One of my favorite things to do when not at work is play sports. I grew up playing baseball and now play softball. I love staying active and spending time with my family. I have a very large family and we do everything together. My aunts recently threw my 6-month-old daughter Charlotte a half-birthday so that we can all spend time together.

A happy family.

Prior to joining CMC, what did you know about energy efficiency or the industry? What made you join CMC? Prior to joining CMC, I didn’t know much about energy efficiency. My neighbor recommended me to CMC when I was looking for a new job. Luckily, CMC had an opportunity available and I have grown from an assistant field technician to a supervisor.

What motivates you about the work that you do? I truly enjoy helping people and seeing the joy that our work brings them. As a homeowner myself, I know the struggle of high energy bills. Being able to help someone save money is one of the most rewarding things you can do. I enjoy that each day is different and brings new challenges.

What is your favorite type of work/project/responsibility that you do at CMC? My favorite type of work at CMC is being a supervisor and mentor to other employees. I have been with CMC for almost 10 years now and have learned a lot from other employees. The knowledge I can share with new employees helps them grow and is rewarding for me on a daily basis.

What do you do for fun? Do you have any hidden talents or interests? I play in a fantasy baseball league that is competitive. I have been playing with the same guys for almost a decade and it grows each year. Being a part of the league keeps me closer to a lot of my friends and keeps me close to the game I love.

Do you have any fun plans for the next few months, vacations, (2023 summer) etc? My wife and I had our daughter Charlotte this past November (2022) and I am excited to spend the summer with her. We plan on going to Rhode Island for a week this summer and taking her to the beach. Watching her experience these new things will be exciting to see.
