David and his niece after completing an energy audit at the family’s house.

October’s Employee Spotlight showcases David Jones, Field Technician III from our NJ office. Let’s learn more about our team member David

Provide some quick background about yourself? Where were you born or raised?
I have been at CMC since November 2014. I was born right outside of Philadelphia but was raised in the West Oak Lane section. I graduated from Temple University with a B.B.A and “stumbled” into the world of energy conservation. A few years ago, I earned my BPI certification and recently began doing heating audits. I’m married (14 years this month) and we have two beautiful daughters. I am also a local class athlete who enjoys running.

Prior to joining CMC, what did you know about energy efficiency or the industry?
Prior to joining CMC, my energy efficiency knowledge was limited. I had rudimentary knowledge that turning off the lights would save money, but that was about it. Since being in the industry my knowledge has increased significantly.

What made you join CMC?
To be honest, the job description looked very cool, and it was something different. All the reviews I saw for CMC were excellent.

What do you like about the work that you do at CMC?
I tell people all the time that I get to help people in need providing energy efficiency assistance to both save money on their utility bills and create a more comfortable home.

What do you do for fun? Do you have any hidden talents or interests?
I love spending time with my family, they tend to keep me on the go! I am also an avid bowler. You can also  call me a recovering sneaker addict who has recently fallen off the wagon (just slightly).

Do you have any plans for the next few months, vacations, etc.?
As mentioned earlier, I like to run. I plan to run in a half marathon this November during Philadelphia Race Week.
