CMC Director of Business Development Fred Maher was selected to be president of the Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance and the Energy Efficiency Alliance of New Jersey for a two-year term starting January 1.
KEEA/EEA-NJ was founded to champion energy efficiency as the foundation of a clean, just, and resilient energy economy. The organizations are a voice for the energy efficiency industry in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
“It’s an honor to represent CMC on the KEEA Board because their mission and CMC’s align so perfectly,” Maher said. “Just as CMC is driven to make our vision of a more livable, equitable and sustainable planet for all a reality, KEEA/EEA-NJ has strived to make sure nobody is left behind as the world becomes more electrified.”
Maher joined CMC in 2018 and leads the company’s RFP process from initial capabilities conversations to RFP responses to final presentations with an eye on continued growth for the company. Before joining CMC, Maher served in a variety of roles at PECO and Exelon Generation, including manager of internal communications at Exelon Generation where he spearheaded the internal communications program for Exelon’s Nuclear and Power divisions, including human resources materials, newsletters, change management and employee awareness campaigns, for more than 11,000 employees.
A two-time graduate of Temple University (BA and MA), Maher chairs the DEI Committee for the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) and sits on the Board of the Klein College of Communications at Temple University. Maher is a former president of the International Association of Business Communicators Philadelphia Chapter and the former president of the Alumni Board for the Klein College of Communications at Temple University.
