Summary:

The New Manufactured Homes program is designed to help income-eligible residents who are purchasing manufactured homes within Commonwealth Edison’s (ComEd’s) service territory to upgrade to energy efficient homes.  The Outreach Associate will be responsible for conducting outreach to the following players in the energy efficient manufactured homes market, for the purpose of enrolling applicants into ComEd’s New Manufactured Homes program:

  • Manufactured Housing Dealers/Distributors
  • Manufactured Home Community Owners
  • Manufactured Home Community Managers
  • Professional Housing Consultants
  • Income-Eligible Manufactured Homebuyers (80% of median household income)
  • Selected Manufacturers of Energy Star manufactured homes

The Outreach Associate will be focused acquiring participation in the New Manufactured Homes’ program by recommending energy efficient upgrades to base manufactured homes or upselling the target audiences to purchase Energy Star certified new manufactured homes. The Outreach Associate will research and contact the program’s target market players, and assist them through the home purchase process as well as through the ComEd incentive application process.

Essential Functions:

  1. Support development of program outreach strategy and lead outreach implementation.
  2. Develop, promote and maintain effective relations with key influencers in the stated sector and customers who are considering the installation of energy efficient equipment.
  3. Serve as the primary program point of contact for target customers and stakeholders.
  4. Conduct site visits and program presentations to customers, service providers and channel partners as required to bolster engagement.
  5. Verify eligibility of applicants
  6. Develop impactful outreach strategies and tactics to assist team in recruiting customers, dealers, manufacturers and community owners.
  7. Attend networking events, meetings, and seminars as requested.
  8. Achieve assigned program goals, targets and objectives.
  9. Assist in forecasting and planning for future program goals and objectives.
  10. Manage supplied inventory materials and company issued equipment.
  11. Conduct work in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
  2. 3+ years’ in successful outreach experience or business to customer sales. Basic knowledge of construction and residential housing types.
  3. Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally, both spoken and in writing, with the targeted audiences and clients.
  4. Excellent time management and organization skills.
  5. Resourcefulness to meet tight deadlines and flexibility with fluctuating priorities.
  6. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to work independently.
  7. Perform the essential functions and physical demands of the position with or without accommodation.
  8. Working knowledge of home energy efficiency, utility demand side management programs, energy efficient technologies, or housing sales experience.
  9. Consultative sales experience and relationship building skills are essential.
  10. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, be detail-oriented and self-managed in a professional environment.
  11. Ability to analyze and interpret complex and/or quantitative data and solve practical problems.
  12. Must be self-motivated, flexible, organized and have an ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  13. Compliance with acceptable vehicle insurance levels as outlined in the company policy.
  14. Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time.
  15. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook and comfortable entering and tracking information in databases.
  16. Perform the essential functions and physical demands of the position with or without accommodation.
