Michellene Davis joined the Board in 2021. She is a nationally recognized, award-winning health equity innovation strategist and senior government affairs and policy executive who has supported not only significant healthcare industry growth but also racial equity approaches to aiding vulnerable populations through evidence-based, equity-informed policy and procedural transformations.
With significant experience in policy, law, government, and healthcare, Michellene has spent more than 20 years championing new policies and strengthening systems’ abilities to address social, systemic, structural and political inequities to build more fiscally sound and equitable operations in health care delivery, government and nonprofit administration.
Michellene is a highly sought after racial equity thought leader and serves on the boards of international and national organizations dedicated to the creation of a sustainable more equitable future for all. She has held political-appointed positions at the senior most tier of government and has been a Chief of Staff, Deputy State Treasurer and Acting State Treasurer, Chief Policy Counsel to a Governor and CEO to a state lottery with revenue in excess of $2.4B. She is a chief strategist to elected officials at the municipal, state and federal level and corporate c-suite executives alike.
She cares for her elderly mother who has Alzheimers and is the President Emeritus of Executive Women of New Jersey.
