CMC Honors Veterans That Have Served Community and Country

As today marks Veterans Day, CMC Energy Services salutes those who have served in the nation’s armed forces and who now work for the company. Senior IT Manager Kevin Terry served in the Electronic Warfare Division of the U.S. Air Force and Senior SQL Database Analyst Chuck Kime, served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Combat Engineer and Practical Nurse.

According to Kime, his job at CMC allows for meaningful work, good conversation and the opportunity to join forces with someone he respects deeply, his boss and fellow veteran Kevin Terry.

“Kevin’s the best boss I ever had. Good managers are people who could do my job as well as I could and trust me,” says Kime, who has nearly two decades of military service, including carpentry and masonry, even helping to build a new barracks for a base. At CMC, Kime supports the high volume of data for the more than 20 utility programs serviced by the company across multiple locations. “All departments here are a customer of IT. My job is to make everyone else’s job easier.”

Kime has been programming since the age of 13 and is an award-winning sharp shooter; he also values the everyday interactions with his CMC colleagues.

“The people here allow for good conversation,” adds Kime. “I can talk intelligently with the auditors. I’m a tool guy; I have sawdust in my skin.”
