Doris M. Iklé is Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of CMC Energy Services. She combines a solid background in economic research with practical, on-site energy efficiency experience. Under her leadership for 32 years, CMC has developed a unique line of products and services for
residential and commercial energy efficiency programs.
Most recently Ms.Iklé created
Home Tune-uP™, CMC’s pay-from-the-savings residential energy audit program.
The program has equipped over 2,000 home inspectors, energy auditors and raters with the software and training to provide a detailed blueprint for improving the energy efficiency of a home. Ms. Iklé also pioneered on-site energy audits, both for federally sponsored residential (RCS) and commercial (CACS) programs; developed the Fuelomizer, the most widely used do-it-yourself audit; and the Complete Energy Audit Kit, the only non-computerized RCS audit. |

CMC has completed more than 325,000 residential audits and 30,000 commercial audits under Ms. Iklé’s direction. Ms. Iklé has been a consultant for the Maryland and New Jersey State Energy Offices and HUD. She has testified at RCS hearings, spoken at energy conservation conferences, and is published in numerous professional journals. As an educator, Ms. Iklé has trained over 100 energy auditors, authored a book that introduces an innovative market driven solution for upgrading the efficiency of millions of homes each year, and authored an Energy Auditor Training Manual and a HERS training book.
Ms. Iklé has her BA and MA in Economics from New York University, completed formal requirements for her PhD from Columbia University and has taken post graduate courses at Harvard University.
