Pennsylvania Quality Control Specialist:

Location: Fort Washington, PA

Position:
Quality Control Specialist, will report directly to the Quality Control Manager and will:
• Perform on-site inspection of work performed by subcontractors, program measures
installed, and work orders written by energy auditors to ensure the work is completed
satisfactorily and meets the established quality standards.
• Provide the Quality Control Manager with written and verbal reports of inspection
findings.
• Assist the Quality Control Manager with training and technical support for
subcontractors, energy auditors and administrative support personnel.
• Recommend changes in materials used and/or the installation requirements of program
measures.
• Assist the Quality Control Manager in reviewing the work completed by energy
auditors for the accuracy of data collected and program measure recommendations.
• Provide support to the Quality Control Manager in resolving customer service related
issues via telephone and/or on-site inspection.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• This position requires least 2 to 4 years experience in Residential Energy Efficiency,
Home Inspection or related field. Related College or Technical School coursework is
preferred.
• Knowledge of Weatherization basics and blower door technology.
• Basic knowledge of the construction of residential dwellings and housing types.
• Familiarity with energy conservation/efficiency.
• Customer interaction skills including in-home visits.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC.
• Ability to prioritize work, work effectively with other staff and know when to consult
with the Quality Control Manager as necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively with attention to detail and professionalism, both
orally and in writing.
• Reliable motor vehicle required.
• Ability to write reports and the ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of
basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations.
