New Jersey Energy Auditor Needed:

Careers for reps. to inspect homes of utility customers conducting residential energy audits, identifying fuel usage, baseload electric and air conditioning usage.  Identifies needed residential energy improvements and develops a scope of work designed to reduce the customer’s energy consumption, conducts an interview and energy education session with the customer. 

Requires basic knowledge of the construction of residential dwellings and housing types, basic computer skills, ability to work with basic tools, heating test equipment, and a blower door.  Must have effective communication skills, written and verbal, interpretive skills and the ability to establish a rapport with the customer.  

Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent home inspection experience, or related experience/training.

Maintains professional appearance, clean/neat work area, interacts with customers, employees, performs recordkeeping of materials and audit findings, follows schedule of appointments, performs intermediate math applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry, problem solves applying common sense experience. 

This job has physical demands and requires willingness to travel extensively in personal vehicle throughout utility’s service territory. Helpful: Familiarity or experience working in a low-income environment.

Earnings range $50k+ & benefits.
